Bloodpit Sings... Twas the Night before Pittsmas!

Twas the night before Pittsmas, when all through the stables
Not a manager was stirring, not even Bill Taylor.
The weapons were hung by their handles with care,
In hopes that the fights, soon would be there.

The warriors were lounging all flat in their beds,
While visions of victories danced in their heads.
And Sleazee in his Pompadour, and I with my flail,
Had just settled our bets over pretzels and Ale.

When out on the sands there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from the table to see what was the matter.
Away to the door we flew like a flash,
Pulled out our weapons and readied a bash.

The moon on the breast of the blood stained sands
Gave the lustre of gore to objects in the stands.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a wee old Dwarf, with eight teeth set in a sneer.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to the floor,
And his clothes were all tarnished with blood and gore.
A spare Great Pick he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a champion, all ready for the attack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his blood lust so scary!
His weapon for maiming, his shield for parry!
His bold fighting strategy was honed to perfection,
It kept all his opponents mired in perplexion.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
He bashed and he slashed , then turned with a jerk.
He saw us watching him as his body turned around,
And he placed a severed head beside him on the ground!

He sprang from the sands, to his stable he gave flight,
"Happy Pittsmas to all, and to all a good-fight!"

One of the things I look forward to every year. Thanks for the new installment.
Great stuff! I really loved the ending!!!
I really wish I still had the old version too. I had to condense this one down. It was kind of a last minute thing I decided to do
Hey man, thanks a lot. This is a little extra blood spattered on my presents. Very Happy
