Cpt. Renolds died an honorable death by chest perm at 348 fights, killed by Solincar's Red Wing after ages of peasant beating.
He was 25(15)-25(15)-23(13)-20(13)-12(3)-12, mastered in Longspear and all non weapon skills. I had a silly conceit that I would never send him to the monsters because I appreciated him, not like Fox, dang it, but I think I would have, If He'd beat the old age record; I hadn't actually read any of his fights for ages, until Red Wing came back in, like 4 turns ago.

Here's his last fight.

Thanks for the write-up, Fusion. Would have loved to have seen Cpt R and LD go at it! Wasn't to be, I guess.
Wishing you a great rollup.

My stables went 3-5 against CPT. RENOLDS. For some reason he only fought either my BS/CS dwarf BRUDZINSKI'S SIGN (who used a battle axe before switching to BS) or my scythe elves.

Turn 474 was the first matchup, with RENOLDS (38-27-3) taking out my scythe elf NARCOLEPSY (37-19-1) in a -very- close 3 minute bout. No sweeps yet, from that deadly long spear!

Not until turn 536 did my warriors have the misfortune of fighting fighting RENOLDS (83-44-4) again. This time it was BRUDZINSKI (89-49-2) who had the honor of losing, in another 3 minute fight. This time, the sweeps were in full effect.

MINUTE 1

Ten weeks later, on turn 546, my original scythe elf PROTOCERATOPS (97-77-1) faced RENOLDS (91-46-6) who had just finished an 8-2-2 rampage. Both gladiators were pulling tricks from their sleeves.

PROTOCERATOPS is rewarded with cheers from the crowd!!

It was probably for the best that the ref interceded. While PROTO wasn't a killer, he did tend to perm his opponents quite a bit, and I had him running calc attack when opponent hit heavy damage.

On turn 565, BRUDZINSKI (107-60-3) faced off against RENOLDS (105-51-6) again, in yet another 3 minute fight (see a trend, here?). Now RENOLDS is trying out some new tricks...

The rest of the fight featured the standard back and forth one would expect, but with BRUDZINKSKI being the lucky one to get in the last hit.

Turn 574 saw BRUDZINSKI (110-66-3) and RENOLDS (112-53-6) facing off again, with RENOLDS taking the bag of sheckels after a quick 2 minute bout.

One more hit and the fight was over. BRUDZINSKI was in no hurry to face RENOLDS again, but he did pick up a 23 strength after that match. Would that make the difference when these warriors clashed next?

Well, just 3 weeks later, on turn 579, RENOLDS proved again that he was the future #1 gladiator, by taking out BRUDZINSKI in a 2 minute bout, though BRUDZINSKI has some new tricks...

Their final match came but a week later on turn 580 with BRUDZINSKI (113-69-3) coming out on top in his final bout against RENOLDS (117-54-6). BRUDZINSKI's first two hits in minute 1 got RENOLDS to medium damage. If it weren't for those landing, I'm confident the bout would have gone to RENOLDS.

Wow, just went back and checked my fight records and it looks like I fought CPT. RENOLDS only twice. Once with FANG and once with VIVISIZER. Both fights were in the 75-80 fight range and both fights were wins for Dux. Both of my wins ended up amounting to nothing because within 25 odd turns both of my warriors were dead and CPT. RENOLDS lived on to 3x+ the experience of either of my poppy pushers.
