KARMA CONTEST 2014 - Turn #10 Results

This is Dux Mortalitas coming to you live from Bloodpit Isle to report on the final turn of the KARMA CONTEST. Today marks the 10th turn of challenges intended not just to kill but to kill killers. Let's see what turn #10 had to show for itself.

It looks like there were only 5 karma kills this turn and four out of those five were only single point affairs. Let's talk about those four managers first. KCHUNTER, SAMURAI!!11, GOFFRY THE WICKED and MYGDAR LE GNOME all got nods from the undertakers this turn. Great show guys. The biggest kill of the day was LILAC of warden's team, who was assassinated by SEDIMENT of Dux's stable. It was looking like Dux had gone into hybernation, but it seems that early spring has awoken him. Good show, Dux! Now go back to that nice warm cave and snooze for another few months for the sake of the arena.

Now let's take a look at the overall scores so we can award our Karma Killer Manager. A quick glance at the Manager Rankings and it clear that Dux has won this by a landslide with a whopping 23 karma points! Amazing! The 4 extra points he got this turn just seems kinda rude in retrospect. In second place is Klagrok Keeneyes with 8 points and finally Fusion with 7 points.

Finally we have the warrior rankings. Offspring (Dux Mortalitas) takes 1st place and is the KARMA KILLER WARRIOR! Congratulations Offspring! In second place, we have a tie between Ray of Light and Spinesnapping Snoger with 6 karma points each. Way to go, Dux and Klagrok! And in third place we have another of Dux's warriors, Sediment, who finishes out turn #10 by leaping from a single karma point to five with a last-minute kill. Great work, Sediment!

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who actively participated in this contest. I feel a little saddened that I, Dux, took almost all the glory. It is my sincere hope that next year, there will be some real stiff competition between a large number of managers. What it clear to me is that this contest did indeed get a lot of managers challenging one another and that is fun from time to time. I hope that no one took offense to being challenged and that everyone enjoyed the little extra nervous spice that challenging known killers can provide. Remember to remove your karma challenges and bloodcries, and I look forward to seeing you all on the sands soon!

Dux you forgot the most important kill of the Karma contest:

DUSTMAN (537) (5-7-0)  proves himself worthy of his name by covering himself with sand to get away from the caterwauling of  MILEY CYRUS (1975) (5-3-0). After 14 minutes of taking this abuse, The Ref (VETERAN'S BLADE) decides he and the world in general have had enough and spares Dustman further ear and eye damage by 'accidently' knocking a gaurd's spear into MILEY CYRUS's neck where the horrendous sound is coming from......

Well done Dux the Karma king! Did enjoy the contest though am glad i don't have to challenge the like of Apple newton again!

APPLE is a real surprise for me. I figured a size 3 warrior would be dead by 50 fights, but at 183 fights, he still going strong! It certainly has helped his cause that he's been a training wunderkind! I have an APPLE clone (STICKLER, who has just 1 more starting point in pre) who is not doing nearly as well, and if you compare their training, the reason is obvious (same con/int, too).

APPLE NEWTON was inspired by Frank The Tank's PLAYER TWO, who wasn't grossly thin, but was still a tiny dwarf with a pronged, pointy weapon. When APPLE either becomes a monster or is finally put down, I will definitely do a write-up.
