DUX'S HALL OF RECORDS

A big congratulations to Dux's two monsters OFFSPRING and ROTUND who fended off challengers these last two weeks. SPLITTER from Vic Vegas' stable was put down in a thrilling two minute match in what could only be described as a standard OFFSPRING butchering.

Cam's ENGLISH MUSTARD went up against a very determined ROTUND, who showed why he is the monster in a two minute match.

OFFSPRING gains a metric point to 37 and remains in 7th place.

Hey Vic,

This turn I noticed SEE JANE STAB's record and wondered why she didn't have anything in the Hall. Turns out she should at 100 and 150 fights (overall not racial), with 83-17-3 and 123-27-4. She is a javelin/tower dwarf.

Vic, also while I'm thinking about it... FIA STARSTRIKE should be in oldest elves, losing to INARI MITE at 161-90-4.

Thank you Modofo, it can be difficult to track which warriors get placement where. I will get these changes put in right away.

Just checked and it's Rolph Spicer at 19 points. L. Smalls also has 19, but Rolph had fewer fights when he earned his 19 points, so Rolph it is!. Penetrator only had 18. In the future should the same event occur, L.Smalls and Penetrator are the next in line in that order for point checks.

Congrats, Modofo, on your two awesome warriors! No real surprise that they are earning records. Bets on the top 5 for 200 fights with See JS?

Modofo's brute DRAZ THE FLESH MINER (146-102-5) took on RAY OF LIGHT (177-53-10) in what was sure to be a thrilling two minute match. Alas, RoL retains the monstership and gains a metric point to 45, remaining in 5th place.

The big human lady LITTLE LAMB has been bumbling her way to win after win with her flail, achieving a 50-fight record of 43-7-0.

Also, OL' FIREBELLY survives to 200 fights with a record of 156-44-6. He's been challenging warriors with low kill numbers for a few weeks now as he approached this milestone.

Good job with RATCHET Vic. I'm especially impressed having found the pickaxe to be a mediocre weapon at best. I switched DRAZ to trident over his last 10 or 20 fights hoping he would have a better shot at the monsters. I never really thought the pickaxe was good for him. He did a little better off and on with the pickaxe/target, but it still never seemed right.

MODOFO, did you master up Trident before making that switch?

I have several warriors I am thinking of giving a secondary strategy/weapon combo to, but want to master primary weapon first, then all skills, then secondary weapon, then implement strategy change.

Yes, I mastered it (or at least an 8) before switching.

Thanks. I'm trying. You can see VIC's influence on my designs, but also I depart from his advice about 25% of the time.

5% of that time I learn he was right and switch to go along with his initial advice. But at least 20% of my style is all LELU

Modofo, just so you know, I haven't forgotten about your record notifications. I have a few things to research and implement but have been putting it off.

I'm operating on a backup computer without access to my historical bloodpit data. The data are safe on more than one hard drive, not to worry, but I am not able to do any records researching at the moment. Apologies.

Recently, Vic Vegas asked me what I thought about dwarves throwing boar spears.
He reminded me that I once opined that it should be acceptable in DHoR, but thinking on it more, I no longer feel that way. If BS Dwarf is banned then dwarves throwing BS should also be banned because sometimes a warrior will fight with the throwable weapon before actually throwing it. That aspect of throw apparently did not occur to me the first time I wrote on this topic.

My conclusion: BS Dwarves are not accepted in DHoR with no exceptions.

We have some cause for celebration with this update to DHOR as Modofo's wicked dwarf OL' FIREBELLY takes the #2 spot for dwarven and all-time 200 fight records, knocking the legendary LORD DARIUS off the all-time list, and Fusion's mighty GONE FISSION off the dwarven list. Having faced OL' FIREBELLY many times, I can attest that he both earned and deserved these records. I suspect I will soon be updating these records yet again with another of Modofo's phenomenal dwarves.

OL' FIREBELLY will be remembered as the terror he was. I don't think anyone was happy when they faced him on the sands. I know I had him triple avoided with more than one warrior on many occasions. Tridents high for OL' FIREBELLY and APPLE NEWTON and their brutal accomplishments!

Hey Vic, just a reminder about putting in the turn # next to metric warrior when their score changes. This only applies to living warriors of course.

Oh, I also edited the main post here to add in the point count at the top of the monster lists. "[10 points]" And I put in a ( in front of Dux Mortalitas in the HIROI metric listing.

Huge congratulations to Palor! 5 kills! Wow. If I recall, Palor once had 7 kills in a turn, but there are no extant records of the feat, so it could not be recorded here in DHoR. Apologies to Palor for that.

Now for the mistake I caught in DHoR, which was entirely my fault, back when Dux was running things and I was his apprentice. I accidentally listed my gladiator TICKTOCK as a viable challenger for INARI MITE, forgetting the second rule of monster challenges... the challenger must have at least a 50% win record, which TICKTOCK did not.
