Boar Spear Dwarf Hunting

One would think that SONS OF SATAN's (149) gladiator 4x4 with an impressive record of 34-0-4 is something to be proud of.  It should be noted that the teams have not run since 4x4 got a kill with severe elbow drop repercussions. How can a young gladiator do so well?  Simple.  Exploiting a game bug that gives boar spear dwarves a disproportionate amount of damage dealing.  Notice how the records of BS dwarves are not allowed in Dux's Hall Of Records?

I propose maintaining a list of known BS dwarves along with stat lines, armor, and perm locations to make it easier to hunt them into extinction.  I don't see this so much as a contest, but simply fun sport.  Hunting the most dangerous of foes.

I recently lost a very promising javelin halfling to a BS dwarf who is now hiding behind full-plate armor and triple tower shields in an attempt to survive my elbow drops.

Let's add to and update this list as the turns fly by.

Here's a pretty simple way to find past fights against the critters that you may have forgotten about:

(Apologies to Mac & Linux users, this is a PC method)

Open your blood pit directory in windows explorer, then open the A001 directory, then the M### directory.  You now see the up to five directories with your team numbers.  In the search box, type boar spear dwarf.  Ta da!  This is not a magical method.  If your halfling uses a boar spear and you face a dwarf with a net, the fight will be listed.  But you can quickly open the fights with Notepad and skim the results.  Or if you have 'preview' selected and click once on the fight, it should show the text in the little side window.  I have Notepad set as the default program to open .XML files.  If you sort the files by date created, it will help keep your searches relevant.  No need to post info on BS Dwarves that died 4 years ago.

Also, once you find a BS dwarf, you can type his name in the search box to see all your past fights with him.  If the dwarf has a common word as a name, it helps to also type his manager name/number or team name as well to narrow down the results and reduce the noise.  Likewise, you can type a gladiator's name and the word permanently to see if any perms have been delivered.

Hey Vic, this thread is pretty hard to read because it is just too full of info to see what one needs to know at a glance. I wonder if for Karma Contest we could clean it up and make it easier to find targets quickly? Maybe the main post at the top just lists the warriors (onlyl the living ones) with no other information. For more info the managers can see the comment posts below.
