So, you spend all this time crafting a message only to have the formatting not show up in the final message?  Wot do?  I got yer back, buddy.

You want your awesome fight sequence to look like this:

NEUROFIBROMATOSIS seeks to take vengeance upon STEVEN WRIGHT
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS tries to cut across STEVEN WRIGHT's left thigh
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS has landed a potentially critical blow!
A horrendous blow has been struck!
STEVEN WRIGHT careens face-down into the dirt!!
STEVEN WRIGHT has been permanently injured in the primary leg!!!
STEVEN WRIGHT might pitch over dead at any moment!
STEVEN WRIGHT seizes an opportunity to stand
* STEVEN WRIGHT switches to strategy 3

MINUTE 2
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS seeks to lay waste great sword moving like the wind
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS guides an attack into STEVEN WRIGHT's left arm
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS has successfully hit with an aimed attack
The impact sends the target reeling!
STEVEN WRIGHT sees the dice of destiny rolling...
The Blood Master sees STEVEN WRIGHT stagger with pain, but lets the fight continue
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS aims a swift strike with his great sword
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS guides an aimed shot at STEVEN WRIGHT's left shoulder with his great sword
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS successfully lands the aimed attack
A horrendous blow has been struck!
STEVEN WRIGHT has been permanently injured in the shield arm!!!
STEVEN WRIGHT's family selects a tomb stone for the deceased!
NEUROFIBROMATOSIS quietly accepts the cheers of the crowd!

The solution is simple, if not a bit odd.  Simply click the Preview button, let the preview load, then click it AGAIN, and the formatting will be in place.  It is like... magic.  Oh, here's a fun thing.  I do believe that any messages posted where the formatting did not work, will still have the proper spacing in place, so the double Preview trick should work if you edit an old message.
