SOD vs BIG BEN Empty SOD vs BIG BEN

Well, I thought I'd never write up SOD, not because he was a bad warriors or anything. On the contrary, he was a great warrior, but because he was Duke's son and I figured I just couldn't see giving any honor to a descendent of Duke.

That being said, after rummaging through some of SOD's old dairies and stuff I discovered that SOD wasn't ACTUALLY of Duke's bloodline. As it turns out he was an adopted son. I suppose I ought not hold that against SOD...

I can definitely state that SOD fought well under my command and distinguished himself in Veteran's Blade as a force that even the best had to reckon with. He killed many a great warrior in his time and survived two Death matches (which are fights to the death).

Upon consulting Duke’s old journals, I see that SOD started out going 10-0-2 before being killed. Duke, out of Father love for his adopted son, chose to resurrect SOD, and he again had and another fantastic start. SOD used strike, sure strike and lunge to tear up the ranks and on his hundredth fight, 75-25-4, beat Phon, one of MJ’s best creations and a Legend.

On SOD’s 100th fight, he was 25-17-15-15-9-16 and only had two masters, which is pretty poor for a warrior with 100 fights and a 15 INT. It was right about this time that he hit a training wall and went some 88+ fights double training stats every turn and single training skills, and failed to get a single stat train the entire time! He did thankfully manage to get his basic masters during that time, but he was WAY behind the curve, leading to a 200-fight record of 130-70-7. That means he went 55-45-3 during his 100-200-fight career. Although it’s a winning run, it’s definitely a sign of how bad his training was going. Although his 100+ career wasn’t all that spectacular up to this point, there were a few interesting highlights worth noting. On his 180th fight he kill managed to kill the oldest Horc of all times, Maulbearer (88-88-10) of The Master’s stable via a perm to the chest. And the following turn began a death matched with Palor’s Legendary Orc, Fleshsplatter that ended on the fifth turn with the death of Fleshy (104-53-10) via yet another perm to the chest.

Right around SOD’s 200th fight he managed to suddenly turn the training back on and got 4 back to back constitution trains and a dex train to boot allowing him to work much more efficiently in his armor and thus greatly improve his performance on the sands although he was still far behind the average warrior in his ranks in terms of trains.

SOD’s record took a great boost after a request from Nem for a death match. The death match continued rather unexpectedly for 22 turns before SOD finally killed the Halfling with, you guessed it, a perm to the chest. SOD managed to win 20 of the fights, which isn’t a great feat considering Snuff was way over the hill.

After killing Snuff, SOD only had one remaining goal, and that was a match against Pain (NADS). SOD got his fight the very next turn in a random match up. Pain put up a hell of a good show and even permed SOD in the process with his deadly spear throws, but in the end SOD took the victory and thus satisfied, chose to challenge a monster the next turn.

Fighting Big Ben for his final match was just poetic! Live by the pole ax; die by the pole ax, I always say ;-)

During SOD’s career he fought some of the greatest names BP has ever known. He, more than any other warrior I have ever seen, had a affinity for perming people in the chest. He distinguished himself among his fellow gladiators as a killer of killers taking down some of the greatest killers of all time. He was a human par excel lance, and most importantly he was not really a son of the Duke….
