I'm making a video to accompany the first track from this EP.  My computer has been grinding away for about 80 hours, with Photoshop steadily cranking out video frames.

Frame 18,331 just finished.  The project has a total of 18,967 frames.  My system is finishing about 281 frames per hour.

I've got frames cranking out for the 3rd and final song from the EP.  I'm loving how these are coming out so far.  After seeing my first vid the musician said I can use any of her music for my video creations.  WooHoo!

In 2015 I came up with a convoluted method of creating insanely high resolution, abstract images in Photoshop.  A lightbulb went off in my head and I figured out a nifty way to automate the process so I could create simple movies.  I made three vids with this process before I came up with another method that was far less cumbersome and a whole lot more efficient.  But, this old method holds a special place in my heart, and would definitely fall into the category of "Hand-Made Video".  Last night I paired the third and final video with some music I created with Mubert last year, using the input words: doctor who.

I was going through a phase of attempting to create "commercial art", imagining this vid looping during a cinema intermission.

One of the great things about producing this crap on my local computer, is that I don't run into any content filters, so when I ask for a song with the keywords "doctor who" it gives me a song without any argument.

This is another case of youtube squishing out all the delicious fractal details from the video.  Harumph.

For instance if I inputted "creampied Björk" into Google's new AI music thingy, it would be rejected for two obvious reasons.  But my system simply gives me an amazing (CD quality) song.

My system has been spitting out some SICK BEATS in CD quality, none of that compressed MP3 garbage.  I had to take a break from it, so I could get back to producing video.  But I think some of this stuff, in the hands of a real DJ with some real music software, could be amazeballs!

I can't recommend the movie Enter The Void (2009) enough.  But it is very NSFW in every sense of the word.  If nothing else, just watch the opening title sequence.  It is like nothing you've seen before and it inspired me in so many ways.  I'd love to share the latest thing I've created that was inspired by those titles, but it is for a client, so I can't... yet.  It ain't no big thang.
