PITT LORD (Dwarf) vs PAIN

PITT LORD the Dwarf had the traditional stats to be a solid military pick, towershield CSer, which is a setup that I am generally fond of.
But as I wanted to test out the battle ax to see if I could make it work well (no one had had much success with it for a long time), I decided to go that route.
You see the battle ax used to be one of the better weapons of the game as it was great against most any armor type. Well, REST ASSURED, the battle ax IS NOT
a very good weapon. I have tried it for 195 turns with PITT LORD and regretted it almost every turn - only one kill...just sad.
As a result of choosing battle ax, I felt that PITT LORD would really need a new weapon to make him a top level warrior, and I am sure
he could easily be one of the best, but for the fact that he is a slow trainer and it would likely have taken another 20 odd turns to get him mastered in MP.
At anyrate, I didn't have any intention of monstering anyone last turn, but was suddenly inspired to do so, and so I did. I didn't really think this warrior had
strong odds of beating a monster. I suppose I would give him 20% odds of winning. Regarding Perms, PL is virtually unscared. His highest perm is a 4 and the rest
are all 1's or 2's. Really, this warrior had plenty of time to mature had I the inclination to play longer.


ACK! Got PAIN again! This warrior is just brutal! That battle ax is just so slow. At least the leather armor
won't give PAIN much insulation from damage....
