More fixes from the Keeper!
Ok. Checking the Bloodpit site again and this happens when you hit Pitt, under Discussions and Trash Talk:
https://bloodpit.forumotion.com/
So now the forum is accessible to anyone who finds the game! Hopefully this means more people will be visiting and chiming in, instead of the few of us that do so now!
Keeper, welcome to the forum and could you please change my team name

I eagerly await the Account Locations fix. Then we shall see the true multis and if their accounts get axed. So, if you are a multi and reading this, well better ditch the account(s) you don't want!

Thank you Keeper!
Thank you, Keeper! He has fixed the link under Discussions and Trash Talk for Bloodspit which now links to the Trashtalk section of this forum. He has also fixed the section on the main page to read as follows:
The Arena currently runs every weekend
Submit your orders by Friday at 9:00PM to ensure your teams will fight
Turn results are usually posted by 9:00AM Sunday morning (unless noted otherwise)
All times are GMT-7
Again, thank you Keeper for updating the website. I would suggest when you are close to done you send out a mass e-mail to all those who have played the game over the decades. Woot Keeper!

Re: More fixes from the Keeper!
Here's to hoping Keeper brings back the test arena with magic spells and new races.
A thing I have only heard about, but never experienced.

It wasn't me, but I was about to email Keeper if he didn't fix his Veteran Murder Bug that he introduced on turn 1185.

Re: More fixes from the Keeper!
This turn Keeper fixed what I would call a cosmetic bug. There were instances where a gladiator would not gain weight after a Constitution train (or a couple of trains). That has been addressed as of turn 1242.
The math was sound, but the problem was when the result was rounded to a whole number. Weight gain was being rounded down to zero pounds more often than it should, for the game's strategy of weight gain to be represented. Keeper took a wrench to the code and tweaked it so we'll see more weight gain. I'm particularly interested in reports of weight gain from Con 24 to 25, which up until now resulted in 0 pounds gained. Feel free to anonymize as much of your reporting as you wish, or PM me the info.
So keep your eyes on the scales and let us know if anything unexpected happens. If something weird is found, I'll forward the info to Keeper. That goes for anything else you see, including typos, a large batch of which Keeper fixed just in time for Pitmas.

Re: More fixes from the Keeper!
Training has been "fixed". Currently, training is functioning as it did in 2017. A change had been made, but a bug was detected in the implementation, so Keeper rolled back the training mechanism. The rollback took place on turn 1232.
The buggy code had been active for a while, which led to a litany of mgr gripes. I don't know how long it was running. I didn't ask and have no interest in bringing back up this now settled issue with Keeper.

Another requested fix put in place by Keeper: Check out the top mgr rankings: http://bloodpit.net/reports/manager.jsp
The wins-losses no longer bleed together if the mgr has 10k+ losses. An extra space was added, making it much more readable!
THANK YOU KEEPER!!!

Pitmas
It has occurred to me that there has not been an official, public announcement about what the players call Pitmas and what Keeper calls Christmas Training celebration.
For the sake of brevity and due to force of habit, this relatively new game feature will be referred to as Pitmas.
All the vets are aware of and take advantage of this phenomenon, leaving many newb managers choking on sand.
The turn on or around December 25th has a training bonus applied, making it much easier for a gladiator to be successful in her training attempt. Last year's Pitmas took place on Turn 1232. I suspect this year's will be on turn 1284.
Most veteran managers I've communicated with use this bonus to go after much harder to achieve, high level stat raises. My record setting, human beast, now Monster, FINISHER took great advantage of Pitmas, hitting Beastly Strength at quite a young age due to the training bonus.
Vets, share your thoughts on Pitmas.

The cat is officially out of the bag. Now everyone can get in on the celebration.

Re: More fixes from the Keeper!
Hmmm, my thoughts on Pitmas? Well, here I go. Anyone that has played for a few years will definitely have noticed Pitmas.
Training is indeed increased: my average, and keep in mind I have mostly young bucks with a few veterans and some semi-veterans, is usually 10-14 trains a week. If I am lucky. By comparison, last Pitmas, I only had two gladiators who did not train (and one of them was killed). I had a total of 46 trains! The one before that, 40 trains.
I tend to try for the level 9 skills I have not managed to get, but I also invest in trying for that 24-25 or whatever Stat line I am close to: with my young guys I will try to get their DEX, CON or INT (for my dummies) plugged in for training. I tend to use this for +7 or above Stat trains though. Just be warned, you can try and triple train them, but good luck. My old school Dwarf that had a 12(5) DEX tried two years in a row and only managed to pick up one DEX train (although she did manage to get Initiative 9 the year she wiffled the DEX train).
Generally, I do not triple train during Pitmas unless the gladiator is relatively new, like this last Pitmas when I had 5 guys and gals get double CON trains and three get triples: these were all under 10 (and most under 5) fights and for them it is really not worth wasting a Pitmas train on a skill. Like I said above, I mostly focus on Stats, as they are harder to train than skills are.
If you have a dummy you can of course try for skills, especially if you have trouble getting over level 4 or 5. But you are probably better off in the long run in pumping points into INT. My moron 13(4) INT actually did try and get three higher level skill trains this last Pitmas (when she only had 12 INT). If she is around this next Pitmas, well, based on her skill levels, I will probably try for another INT. She might hit 100 with 3 masters, which I consider pretty good for such an idiot. Or she will use next Pitmas and try to master what she has not mastered yet.
VIC, you will be lucky to get more than a few responses to this, as we mostly have lurkers on this forum. To you lurkers, join the forum. And if you have played for decades or more, join as well.
