I just stumble on these things when researching whatever it is that I'm researching at the time, whether it is a particular weapon, or race records, or what have you. My mom was an English teacher and I've learned to pay close attention to the written word. There is one more thing that has been bugging me a bit. The race records are labeled as bi-racial where something like "By Race" would be more accurate. The only bi-racial races are helves and horcs. Again, picking nits, but these things I notice. Smile

Hi all, I just wanted to let you all know that I am passing the torch to Vic Vegas and am stepping down as manager of this thread.
I have been watching Vic for a number of years with this in mind, and I think he is just the right guy for the job.
I will be moving and won't have much of any computer access for the next several months. Even after that I am not sure if I will have internet access regularly or not. The timing feels right and Vic feels right.

It has been a real pleasure providing this service to the community, I hope you have enjoyed it to some extent.

At Dux's suggestion in chat yesterday, the first new record I will implement will be the undefeated/win streaks. I like the idea of seeing two categories, one for undefeated warriors from the start, and another for win streaks later in a gladiators' career.

We already have some fantastic records mentioned earlier in this thread for a good start in this category.

Hey Vic, could you put Vic's UW streak in the books with 13 straight during UW?
Also, for when you impliment the Longest Streak records, Splinter went 30-0-0 (12-7-0 to 42-7-0).

Oh, one more thing to consider for the upper level streaks. You may want to consider capping those records to be for warriors with less than 250 fights or some such thing. For the most part, when warriors get above 250, they end up fighting a fair percentage of peasants, which could give them a longer streak than they would otherwise have had. Just a thought. I'm not sure that 250 is the best cut-off, but somewhere around there is probably right, if you are considering doing a cut-off.

Thanks Dux. I will be sure to get the info you gave into the books. I'm in the middle of a crazy busy wedding weekend, but I will get it edited most likely tomorrow or Monday. I'm sure Lord Darius would pick up the undefeated record if we let top level peasant fights count. I'm not sure if a cut-off is necessary, just an awareness of the Lord Darius Effect. Wink

Hey everyone, I know I was supposed to be taking over the hall of fame, but I've been dealing with two very sick parents and a 101 year old grandmother, all three of whom live 300 miles away from me. It is a 5.5 hour drive that I can now do in my sleep. :/ I have the inclination, but not the time right now.

No hurry on this but I wanted to post it while I was thinking about it. I noticed Ebram the Dervish (was 76-24-0, elf - scimitar) qualifies for the HoR.

What is the most wins a warrior has had without a kill? I even tried several challenges during the kill-fest against fighters I thought he might could kill to no avail. He is very fast and does pretty high damage.
