Well, after last week, guess we should have expected this flop of a turn. A measly 24 kills, but we did have one manager shine: ACRO MANTULA demolishes the competition with four kills this week. Four other managers did manage to kill two foes each, while 12 managers did manage to get a least one kill. So, our total after five weeks is standing at 136. CAM still leads all managers with 9 kills but coming a 'close' second with six kills are ACRO MANTULA and MASTER OF WAR, followed by NADS with five kills. After that, well there is horde of wanna be champions. Still three (or more) weeks to go, so do not despair! One year I took first with four kills the last week, so it is still anyone's game.
Plenty of blood challenges this week, eighteen of them. Too bad they all amounted to a big fat goose egg. Geez, don't you people have any REAL gladiators to send versus the killers? Thirty-one challenges that end in, you guessed it, not a single fricking kill. Did you people even try?
We also had a lack of deaths in the upper ranks. Two veterans died this week, and not a single kill in the plethora of team fights. Well, this week will be easy to write about! At least CAM kept up his streak and got another kill. And THE WARLORD joined us in singles and took a life as well!
Our first veteran to die was ACRO MANTULA's half-elf TRAVIS-HALF-ELFCEY from the DREAM-TEAM, who died in a three-minute brutal fight with X-O MAULER, WARDANCER's half-orc from LEGION. Having faced this beast numerous times, I can only imagine the horror of the legions of T-H-E's fans when the darling of their dream team got mauled by X-O. He does deliver some wicked kisses with his maul. So sad, but let's see if SAM can catch his fish with a nice blood challenge. For our sakes, let's hope AM can get a quick kill!
The second, and last, of the veterans to die this week was in a quick two-minute match between ULGULU, UL's half-orc from ICEWIND DALE and WARDANCER's dwarf, MR. SANDMAN from LEGION. It was indeed cold as the icy-wind blew over the arena and ULGULU did a war dance as asking MR. SANDMAN to give him a dream, which MR. S did, but too bad the dream that ULGULU wanted was for a certain dwarf to, well, die.
Well, that is the short and sweet of this week. Hopefully next week, we shall have something to write about.

I did my best to staunch the flow of murders coming from Cam's stable. Yet he still managed to pick up another kill.

Surley the whole point of Killfest is to see which manager can kill the most warriors in ten turns. Defeats the whole purpose of the tourney if managers try and block other mangers(something I would never do). Let us play it in the manner if was intended. I haven't read my turn yet so may have further comments when I see how many challenges you sent my way

Oh yeah, very easy to be all "let things flow raaaaaandomly" when you are running away with the contest.
Also, I remove Killfest challenges once they've gone through, so you don't have to worry about any repeats.
I should add, that this is a great moment for you Cam. Puff up your chest. Look in the mirror. You're looking at a frightful manager.
Congratulations!

I swear, I removed AUTOPSY's challenge from last week. Just now when I swept through my fights, removing successful challenges, the challenge boxes for AUTOPSY were empty(!!!).Allegedly Vic wrote:Also, I remove Killfest challenges once they've gone through, so you don't have to worry about any repeats.
I never remove challenges in the middle of reading my turn, cuz one time, when I first started playing, I went to do such a thing, and a red splat caught my eye and I saw that one of my upcoming fights ended with my gladiator's death. I don't like spoilers, so now i wait until I'm finished reading all my fights before removing challenges.
Just like that line from the fight:
I too, was stunned by the terrible carnage. AUTOPSY wasn't.that line from the fight wrote:The crowd is stunned by the terrible carnage!

Re: Kill Fest Vi, Week 5 Results (Turn 1216)
Well lets tighten up the rules then, im playing the tourney differently to you. Im playing it in its pure form as i would suspect are the majority of managers with kills and blood challenges. If we want to start getting tactical so be it. I could understand the blocks Vic if you were in the running, You are not. So what is the motivation? I don't get it.Vic Vegas wrote:Oh yeah, very easy to be all "let things flow raaaaaandomly" when you are running away with the contest.

Re: Kill Fest Vi, Week 5 Results (Turn 1216)
The other challenges this week were leftover from last week's calculations and were still plugged because they didn't go through. You aren't running the only gladiators my stable challenged. Send me a PM if you want my opinion as to why the death occurred.
---
EDIT:
Alright, I'm going through my challenges and I just removed DAMNED. ENCONA, SALTIRE, LEGATE, and COLDCRAG from challenges.
Also realized I had one of Klag's younglings plugged in by mistake.
