Hi Modofo. Congratulations on a well-deserved new Monster. I'm curious how you feel about the circumstances.

I would have definitely preferred a match-up that wasn't my own monster. Still, I was cheering for GBP for sure.

On the bright side, beating your own monster lessens the pain of the loss. You have a new monster to enjoy.

Yes, indeed. Did you have any hopes of who you wanted Gyyped to match against and who you hoped to avoid in the Monster fight? So much of BP is contextual with regard to setup and fighting style. Which matchups would have gone best for Gypped in your estimation and which would have been ill-advised?

My knee-jerk answer to an ill-advised matchup is APPLE NEWTON.

I actually don't think too much about that since I have no control over the match-up. I just give them a strategy that I think will beat the most types of warriors and go with it. It isn't just winning against a monster, they need to be prepared to deal with challengers should they win.

This is why my monsters have more than 1 strat in their arsenal when they are off to meet their destiny.  This keeps them tricky and more difficult to plan for.  

I absolutely do sometimes plug in specific strategies for specific monsters (paid off with APPLE) in the hopes that they get their ideal matchup.  REPLACEMENT BO was hoping to face OFFSPRING, but he's not complaining about securing a slot!
