Week 3 of Kill Fest just follows the same pattern as the first few weeks, subpar killings.  Only 25 to record this week, which puts the three-week total at 78.  Come on folks, let's get to at least 40! Three managers, CAM, ARRIAN and BRING, all managed to leave three opposing managers in tears, taking three lives each.  A gaggle of 16 other managers managed to get one kill apiece.  Leading the pack after three weeks is CAM, with 5 total kills, while five other managers are ready to surpass him with four kills.  And behind them are a pack of managers waiting to get in on the action.  Darn CAM and his flock of vicious little gutter rats!


We did have some nice action this week though.  Four challenge kills this week, and sadly (or gladly depending on your point of view) two of them were the challengers.  Let's hope next week brings ever more of these types of kills! But, alas, none were Blood Challenge or Elbow Drop kills.  Guess we need to wait until next week for those!  We had three veterans grace the sands for the last time this week, and two gladiators died in team fights as well.  Speaking of the team fights, appears we had at least two that were total snooze fests! So glad the fans got some kills from watching the other ones this week!


Our first challenge kill occurred when The HIGH PRIEST decided to send his dwarf MEMORY from MELODIES against GERN BLANSTEN's elf STEVE PARRY of BIG TIME SINGERS.  Sadly, THE HIGH PRIEST's dwarf will indeed from now on just be a memory.  The only melodies we heard were from STEVE, who sang big time after putting down the bozo who just challenged him in record time.  Well, HIGH PRIEST, that is what you get for challenging GERN.  GERN whoop arse on the fool and get some more kills!


Our next challenge kill was a two-minute bout between LYDIA KRAKEN, LELU DALLAS's Dwarf from THE SCNG challenged SURTUR's half-orc BIBI-DEE of FORCE.  The kraken was indeed released, and the force of her weapon required more than 'sutures' to fix.  LYDIA was heard singing a song that went something like this 'Lala lee, I am gonna kill me a stupid arsed named half-orc named bibi-dee' or something like that.  Thank you LELU for taking such a horrible half-orc name from the Veteran's Blade news.  


Our third challenge kill was a three-minute melee between L'APPEL DU VIDE, COMMANDANT EITCH's halfling from THE INENARRANOMICON, who unfortunately decided to take on TAKE OUT THE TRASH, MITT's half-elf from THE LEAGUE OF UR MOM.  MITT's gladiator did indeed take out the trash, as he had his mother cover her eyes as he sent LADV to the void forever more.  So sad, but we do enjoy a challenger biting the dust as they try for a quick win.  


Our final, and fourth challenge kill was a four-minute slaughter fest.  YASOON BEDEAD, NAD's human from KLUD & SALLY KILLERS decided to try for a kill and challenged BENNY THE BLADE's half-orc SNIVELING GROGUL from THE INDOMITABLE.  Someone was indeed soon to be dead, and it was not YASOON.  A killer and a blade were indeed involved in this match.  After much 'groguling' and sniveling, BENNY's half-orc ended, well dead.  So sad. NADS gladiator was heard to say 'ya soon be dead' as he drove in the finishing blow.  That is what we want to hear folks!

       
We now come to our three random veteran deaths.  All three were short two-minute affairs.  The first one occurred when CAM's human LEGATE of the TENTH LEGION fought SLIV's dwarf CRABBIT of the CAMSAX KILLERS.  LEGATE was indeed the envoy of death for SLIV's poor dwarf.  SLIV's dwarf was heard to say 'Dagnabbit' as he looked up at his killer.  A tenth of the crowd was said to have fled at the horrible way in which CRABBIT was put down, while legions of fans roared their approval.  We cannot wait to see what happens in the next few turns.  Hopefully more kills.


The second random veteran death was that of CUARENTA Y CINCO, CHI's elf from NUMBERS who had the misfortune of running into POPPA BALROG's OPRAH WINFREY a dwarf from FAT DRUNK AND STUPID.  45's number was indeed up, and she was taken out by someone who indeed was fat, drunk and stupid.  She was so close to 135 (3*45) fights.  Too bad there will be no retaliation for this week.


Our final veteran death occurred when CAM's elf DAMNED from DARK DESTINY ran into FRIJIE, SURTUR's human from DARKNESS & LIGHT.  It was indeed darkness forever for FRIJIE and he saw his last light as he met his destiny.  It was a dark day for SURTUR's fans, as they saw one of their own meet his fate.  We mourn the loss of another veteran gladiator.  


Now on to the two team kills.  The first one occurred when THECOLONEL's team CRD, comprised on 2 half-orcs (KEVIN FIELD and MM ACDOUGAL) and two half-elves (TERRIFIC TUESDAYS and LAURA LUNIG) met TIGER PRINCESS's SWAMP DRAINERS, comprised of two humans (MOO MOO and ZION THE LION), AYA (an elf) and a half-orc SWAMPER STOMPER.  The fight was a relatively short one, only lasting two minutes.  In the end, TPs team was drained of a gladiator, as she was stomped on the field of battle in a terrific display straight out of a zoo gone wild.  The only lions in this fight were the members of CRD as the belted out 'old macdougal had a farm with a moo moo here and a moo moo there.....


We now get to our final fight, a five-minute brutal melee between MOSTLY HARMLESS, THE MANIPULATOR's team of two humans, NONA and SOSIAS, two half-orcs, FORD and COLENE and a half-elf JONAS TAYLOR and THE WARLORD's team THE HEAD HUNTERS, which has three humans, SHADOW FAST, FIRE BALL and GEARHEAD, a half-elf THE WARLOCK and a half-orc GRUMISH.  The HEAD HUNTERS proved they were mostly harmless, and even though they lost after swinging at shadows, they did manage to kill one of THE MANIPULATOR's humans.  This fight did not, however, feature a real warlock or lots of shadows and fast fire balls.  Instead, it was a old fashioned beat down.
