DUX'S HALL OF RECORDS

I was thinking it might be better to have 4 topics - one for each title : Lord of the Pit, Grand Master, etc. And the reason is that if we do all under just one topic many warriors will be on page 2 and thus be hard to see.

Hey Vic,
Looking good, but I wonder if it is not possible to have topics inside of topics. What I mean by that is that you click on LORD OF THE PIT for example and it takes you into the forum and then you can click on the topic of LORD DARIUS and then it takes you in to see his write-up and stats, etc.
The way it is now will make it so the latest warrior will be at the bottom and thus may not be visible at all once the pages go beyond 1. I wonder if this website even has the ability to do something like that...

Got another idea as well that may save you time and energy.
Maybe the warriors that are shown there are warriors who are no longer alive and thus their points can not go up from the date they were entered in.
Otherwise, you'd be constantly having to update scores, records, etc, which would be a total pain in the panties.

An example of what I mean would be to have listings for both Ratyr and Misery because they are effectively frozen in death but no listing for Gone Fission, because GF may increase his points with a kill. Misery and Ratyr, scores and such would show their highest levels and would never go down from there even if they did over on the metric. This new list is to show the by-gone warriors of the past at their peak.

Here is an example of what the BIGGER THAN A BARN rankings might look like. I searched through all of my fight records and found only 34 warriors that were bigger than a barn! Only the few even survived to 50 fights with a winning record! Indeed BTaB is a tough setup to succeed with!!!

Hi guys, I went ahead an officially added "Bigger than a Barn' to DHoR. I only allocated three slots to each area so as to keep things balanced.
If I had gone 5 slots, it would have been so powerful that Troll Hunter Korh would have had a warrior metric of 24, which would have made him a high ranking champion. I know he was a very good warrior, but I think making him a champion is a bit of a stretch. Currently with his kills and the ranking points from being BTaB, he comes in with 18 metric points, which keeps him shy of being a champion. 18 is still a very respectable metric score, and I feel comfortable with that score for Trolly.

Never got a reply back from anyone regarding that question. Figured I'd give it a try and see if allocating points would be a good thing or a bad thing. Still not sure about it. Might be better as an honorary. Put the points in there as a feeler. I suppose I'll look at it again in a month or two and have pretty clear feelings about it at that time. Let's see.

It isn't like there's gonna be a ton of huge guys suddenly filling up the rankings. Heheheheh

Today the longest standing record in BP history has been beaten. But before I get to that, let me take you back in time to July 9th 2005 - turn 269. It was shortly after BP was taken into the hands of The Keeper. There were two incredible warriors going head-to-head at the top of the ranks - Ratyr and Lord Darius. In each encounter however, Ratyr came out on top and infact ran an unbeaten streak of 19 straight fights at the 200 fight experience range. Beating LD consistently and setting an all time best ever streak of 19 straight wins is the stuff of legends, but Ratyr took it one step further and also set the best ever 200 fight win/loss record of 156-44-6 (-1) - a record that has stood unchallenged for nearly 10 years!

It is my great pleasure to announce that the record of 156-44-6 (-1) has finally been broken by SOSOH of Dux's stable. Although SOSOH has always stood in the shadows of his stable-mates, XENITH and SPLINTER, today SOSOH stands alone on his own merits as a true champion! Congratulations to Dux for this mighty accomplishment. Of course, SOSOH has also taken the #1 best Dwarven 200 fight record as well this turn with his 156-44-4 record!

The record of 19 fight streak at 200 fights still remains unchallenged. Let's hope someone breaks that soon too!

One of the things I love most about BP is that there are no guarantees. When you have people swinging big flangy things atcha a small mistake could mean your life.

Hopefully soon enough, the number of big flangy things surrounded SPLINTER will be reduced by one, and the number of pokity-poke-poke things will increase by the same number.

Hey Vic, so that we do not need to keep adjusting numbers over on the individual warrior threads, warriors should only get a thread when they are dead.
Since a monster can continue to increase in metric score it will be a pain in the butt to keep on adjusting individual threads for metric score. Since we already moved LD, we have opened that can of worms - let's close it and seal the lid. Just dead warriors in the top 20 get a thread.

LD is fixed.

Well, I don't mind editing.

We can always flesh this out some more in chat, so we don't clutter the hall of records.
