I have looked long and hard for a similar game to Bloodpit and have not found any so far.

this game from the description sounds very similar to the Pitt and I have registered my interest and I am on standby for play testing.

Although I have not played it yet the keeper is from a pbm background and I am expecting good things. have a look

Ha!! You beat me to it! I was going to add it tomorrow after I finished up last turns kill fest results. I think the first test fights are next week. Turn will run tomorrow for buying gladiators and trainers.

Just a heads up, for now he has capped the game at 14 houses...however, if he gets enough people to show interest he will open up another city. When I logged on last night before hitting the sack, I saw your Houses on there, but VIC's is gone now. Of course not one of my bids went through...of course one guy has four trainers that are costing him over 80 a turn...and the income you receive is only 50....another one has twelve gladiators. Oh and a new version of the rules will be coming out.

Then I saw the 56 page rule book, the stats are in frickin Latin, there's no elves/dwarfs/orcs

so I said "Thanks but no thanks."

Yes it is a Roman gladiator game. Maybe some day Vox with actually publish his First Sword, but even think when he does even though it will have different races, it too will only have roman gladiator types.

In terms of the weapons and competitions?

Like with chariot races and getting fed to lions?

I've exchanged some emails with the game's creator and I won't be starting out just yet. I don't have time to learn a new game system yet. He seems a nice chap. From the UK.
