The morninghammer continues its dominance.  Hmmmm, now this is interesting.  Both increased by 16. >>Twilight Zone music<<

And the #2 weapon the javelin held steady at 92.  

Morninghammer use is up from 18.43% to 19.12%.

Which is weird, as I have cut back on mine.  And I just lost one that was almost at 200 fights.  Of course, the replacement could very well be a morningstar..... 

I've cut back on morningstars, fer sure, but I have made a few warhammer horcs recently, since the last time I made a bunch, warhammers didn't punch into armor.  Not that my brutes NEED that extra ability:

Disagree. Jav works best with high SIZ and DEX in my experience. Plus two skills and a few fighting styles. But mostly just the one skill and fighting style.

My best luck with javs has been with wiry elves and teensy tiny dwarves.  Granted, I haven't really run any big elves.

Next turn we get a new batch of stats.

How is the "any" number lower than the combination of the 3???

That number based on the total number of gladiators; so for example, based on Turn 1204, Looking at open hand you see it is 1108(72.04%).  So, of the 1538 of gladiators who were currently running that turn, that many either had Open Hand as a Primary, Off Hand or as a back-up. Your number will not add up, as if you have say open hand for all three spots that would only count as one gladiator if that makes sense.

I think sheer use of a weapon doesn't tell the tale of its ability.Can you use statistics on .net to tell us the records of the varied users?

No you are right, numbers do not really tell us how effective they are.  I think they just show a trend of what is currently going on it the pit.  Records would be nice, even use by race as well.  

Looking at the swords (with the scimitar and longsword) I see over 400 used as the primary weapon..and just 9 sword breakers (10 offhand). 16 total gladiator using the sword breaker.  So, it would be nice to know the records of these guys and gals, even if just a generic W-L-K for them all.  


I’m sure someone could use .net for such a thing, but if it was one of us, they would have to have a list of all the gladiators and what weapon(s) they use.  I’m sure some of us would have no problem with that, but others might not want someone else that knew what weapon they were using.


It is an intriguing idea though LELU.

I am working on bringing the Swordbreaker back. I ran it experimentally to good use a few years ago. In some situations as a substitute for short sword in others a sub for stiletto . It works in triplacte too tho.

My basic theory on BP is about leaning into advantages. So I combine it with aiming and strats that might compliment the weapon's one exceptional ability.

Between turns 1204 and 1230 maul use has more than doubled.  From 24 to 53 in half a year.  Sure, there are 200ish more gladiators on the sands, but that's a very impressive increase for the tree trunk!

Morningstar and Warhammer each went up by 1.  

Longspear has gone from 44 to 76!

Greatsword has nearly doubled from 16 to 30!

Flails have really fallen out of favor, which is a shame.  They are such a fun family of weapons.

In summary, the rapid increase in large, brutal weapons is a welcome change and I encourage people to keep making more gladiators with them.  Gern and Nads have brought so many brutal maul users into the game recently.  I applaud their effort!  I've got some brute younglings that are doing their part to add to the numbers.

Yeah, me too!  I also like seeing the Peasant deaths, which started on Turn 1236 in a confusing manner, and then Keeper cleaned it up when he implemented the Dead column on Turn 1237.  Now, Peasant deaths only say "KILL" as opposed to player deaths which say "KILL!".  For turn 1236 both player and Peasant deaths said "KILL!" next to them which had my jaw hit the desk when I first saw the insane number of team fight deaths.

Yeah, my brother said it had been around awhile, but as I have not paid too much attention, only scrolling down to the single winners I did not realize it was there until this week


That will make Kill Fest a little easier for me to track
